NIST 800-63-3 Holder of Key Video
This video describes the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-63-3 Digital Identity Guidelines and how they require Holder of Key to prevent authentication token cybersecurity attacks.
The video begins with an introduction to the newly released Special Publication 800-63-3 and how it will drastically change how organizations implement their IdAM infrastructures. The video describes NIST’s three new Assurance Levels for Identity and Access Management:
- Identity Proofing (IAL)
- Authenticator Type (AAL)
- Federated Architecture (FAL)
The video concludes with a technical introduction to Holder of Key and how Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) will be required to secure FAL3 systems according to the new NIST 800-63-3 guidelines.
